Getting Started with Custom Language Registration

The Language Registration tool allows registering a language in Sitecore that doesn’t have the corresponding language in MS Windows, for example “Eastern Scottish”, by registering a custom culture in .NET framework.

Below is the description of the sections in the form above:

        1. Register a new culture

        2. If you want to register your custom culture, you can select the base culture, change it attributes (Name, English Name, Native Name, Region Name etc) and press “Register”. The maximum length of a custom culture name is 8 characters, and each "tag" within the name is limited to 8 characters. A "tag" is a block of letters and numbers that is delimited with a dash ("-") or an underscore ("_").

        3. You can select the culture from the list and press button “UnRegister” to unregister culture from the system.

! Deleting some system cultures like “en-US” and others can affect your system. Please unregister only cultures that were created by you.
